Inferring Relationships from Trajectory Data
نویسندگان
چکیده
Devices like smart phones and GPS navigators are very popular nowadays. These equipments can save the location of an object with an associated time, generating a new kind of data, called trajectories of moving objects. With these data it is possible to discover several interesting patterns, among which is the interaction between individuals, allowing to infer their relationship. This work addresses the discovery of relationship degree between moving objects based on their encounters. To calculate the relationship degree we propose different measures based on frequency, duration, and area of the encounters. These measures were evaluated in experiments with a running example and real trajectory data, and show that the method correctly infers relationships.

Extending the Qualitative Trajectory Calculus Based on the Concept of Accessibility of Moving Objects in the Paths
Qualitative spatial representation and reasoning are among the important capabilities in intelligent geospatial information system development. Although a large contribution to the study of moving objects has been attributed to the quantitative use and analysis of data, such calculations are ineffective when there is little inaccurate data on position and geometry or when explicitly explaining ...
متن کاملInferring Internet AS Relationships Based on BGP Routing Policies
The type of business relationships between the Internet autonomous systems (AS) determines the BGP interdomain routing. Previous works on inferring AS relationships relied on the connectivity information between ASes. In this paper we infer AS relationships by analysing the routing polices of ASes encoded in the BGP attributes Communities and the Locpref. We accumulate BGP data from RouteViews,...
متن کاملInferring gene regulatory relationships by combining target-target pattern recognition and regulator-specific motif examination.
Although microarray data have been successfully used for gene clustering and classification, the use of time series microarray data for constructing gene regulatory networks remains a particularly difficult task. The challenge lies in reliably inferring regulatory relationships from datasets that normally possess a large number of genes and a limited number of time points. In addition to the nu...
متن کاملOptimization of analytical parameters for inferring relationships among Escherichia coli isolates from repetitive-element PCR by maximizing correspondence with multilocus sequence typing data.
Repetitive-element PCR (rep-PCR) is a method for genotyping bacteria based on the selective amplification of repetitive genetic elements dispersed throughout bacterial chromosomes. The method has great potential for large-scale epidemiological studies because of its speed and simplicity; however, objective guidelines for inferring relationships among bacterial isolates from rep-PCR data are lac...
متن کاملRelationship discovery in public opinion and actual behavior for social media stock data space
With the rise of social data media, the cyber world nearly parallels to the real world. The trajectory of a hot event is reflected in social media by Public Opinion Data Space (OS) and Actual Behavior Data Space (BS). However, the relationships with a variety of mechanisms in each space or between them are often unknown. To solve the above issues, the traditional methods for inferring relations...
